Customers on Snoddy Road, Rhorer Road, Moores Creek road, and sterling Avenue will be without water. Service will be returned tonight and a precautionary Boil order will be in effect. Effective 7/30/24 The boil water advisory has been lifted. With the old man winter bearing down on East Monroe, here is some helpful information for frozen water pipes. City of Bloomington Utilities has a great article with tips and tricks for home owners during these cold winter months. For your convivence we have provided the link here Frozen Water Tips Due to an increase in water rates from the City of Bloomington, East Monroe will be raising their water rates. The new amount will rise 40 cents on every thousand gallons. The old rate was 10.02$ per thousand gallons and will increase to 10.42$ per thousand gallons. The new minimum water bill for 0-3000 gallons will be $35.45.
